Our culture is always shifting. Society tells us who we should be as men and women, but its message keeps changing. However, the Bible teaches us exactly who we are—men and women created equally but uniquely. God’s beautiful design for us is true and perfect, leading to joy and human flourishing.

I don’t know who you are, and I don’t know what your experience with marriage has been like.
Maybe you grew up in a healthy home with parents who lived in a healthy marriage. Maybe your experience was the opposite – maybe your parents’ marriage was plagued by selfish decisions, and you suffered the consequences.
Or, maybe you never had two parents and didn’t experience what a marriage was like at all.
Maybe you’re single, engaged, happily married, angrily married, divorced, widowed, or somewhere in between – I don’t know.
But there is one thing I know for sure: regardless of who you are, where you live, or who you’re married to, your marriage has hope.
Your marriage has hope, but not because of how compatible you and your spouse are. Your marriage has hope, but not because of how much money you have. Your marriage has hope, but not because of how often you go to church and how well you know the Bible.
No, your marriage has hope because of the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Nothing gets me more excited than an opportunity to share this message of hope with marriages, so when my friends at Authentic Manhood asked me to contribute to their marriage curriculum designed specifically for men, I was immediately on board.
This six-session study – “A Man and His Marriage” – covers important but often misunderstood details about marriage, including biblical foundation, servant leadership, friendship, threats, and sex. It concludes with specific, practical ideas that can help you bring new life to your marriage.
Husbands, get a group of guys together and start working on your marriage together in community. Wives, make sure your men know about this great gospel resource that’s available for them.
