Reflections for the week……..

Psalm 46: 10-11

Be still,  and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

A week filled with abundant Peace……

Because God continues to reveal His faithfulness and goodness!

As I was reading through the book of Philippians this week, I was reminded of this verse:

Philippians 4:9
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Seems weird to have Peace, as it’s been a particularly hard week.
But God…….
But God………..
We never lose sight of our great God. He is more than amazing……….

There is a wonderful little book called The Red Sea Rules that has been a wonderful encouragement to us! It reminds us that:

–   It is only He who gives us our crisis as a faith builder for our future.
–   It is only He who keeps us calm and confident, allowing Him time to work.
–   It is only He that means for us to be where we are.
–   It is only He who can deliver in His own unique way.
–   It is only He who reminds us to praise Him.

We do continue to covet your prayers as we make our way through so many mazes of this journey. We realize it’s impossible for everyone who is supporting us in prayer, to know details, the full truth and all the facts. A statement was issued by the attorneys and insurance company on Tuesday, in order to clarify that Lauren never accepted or rejected the insurance company’s offer. It was a process that necessitated filing a “declaratory judgment action” to interpret the insurance policy through the court. On Tuesday, attorneys for Lauren and the insurance company, jointly agreed that they have resolved all the issues.

2 Corinthians tells us in verse 4:8 that “We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don’t know what to do, we never give up. “As hard as it’s  been at times, this crisis in our life has opened our hearts to even greater depths, and we are grateful!

God has been, and continues to be, our amazing refuge and strength. We continue to lift His name on High, in order to please and honor Him in all we do.

so good to know the truth behind the inaccurate media accounts … I thought it seemed out of character (based on what little I “know” of your family just from this blog and CB) that L would have “sued” … this explanation makes so much more sense!

I don’t know you and vice versa, but I love seeing you grow in depth in the knowledge of God by what you are learning and going through and seeing your ability to apply God’s principles to your life through this. Your faith is strengthening more and more and I love to watch that through your posts. Thank you for sharing. It brings joy to my heart.

Found this blog through the media…God can and will use even the media! 🙂 Love your bold stand for Jesus! I’ve been praying for Lauren and all your family in the midst of the storm. Know that He is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think. Will be sharing your words of hope with friends! Blessings to you!

Thank you for being so open and sharing your daughter’s progress and for all the quotations. I know you are a source of strength for so very, very many people going through insurmountable troubles. I have faith your daughters’ life will turn out exceptionally well.

It was nice to see you and your husband on “Good Morning America” today. I was happy to hear that Lauren is getting her new arm!! I have thought about how hard it would be to get through my day with only one hand and could see many struggles. I am sure that her “new” arm, it will give her much MORE freedom/independance to get back to more of her normal, busy life!! :o) I heard that she may be writing a book..looking forward to reading it! You all continue to be in my prayers!!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and corageious! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”. Joshua 1:9. Easy to say, but hard to do when you are walking through a storm as you are…..but His promise IS secure…….He is with with you each step of the way! Thank for for modeling for all of us what that faith looks like. May you continue to experience the power and peace of His presence each and every day. You are in our thoughts and prayers. With our love. F & J
