A note from mom…….Ephesians 3:20

A note from mom…..Ephesians 3:20……

Ephesians 3:20 is one of my life verses….“God can do immeasurably more than you could ask or imagine.”

I ponder that tonight as I think of His Majesty…..His Providence and His Mercy, and how in this tragedy He is doing more than we could ask or imagine.

Today was a beautiful day for Lo. She was up and about, surpassing the goals of her therapies. She’s fighting hard against the pain, trying to tolerate, and break through, those tough times during the day. She didn’t need quite as much pain medication today. A blessing…..
Please continue to pray for pain relief. It’s tough on her, and takes a lot of energy, that she needs for the healing of her body.

She loved her OT today. She cooked in a kitchen, making scrambled eggs! She’s also dressing herself, brushing her teeth, combing her hair and showering on her own! In ST, they are beginning to emulate her job, that of writing articles and running the magazine.

As we think of Jesus’ birthday this weekend, let’s celebrate, huh? We have a Savior and His Name is Jesus Christ! Enjoy the day of His birth. Spend quality time talking about Him and pondering what He has done. Do you feel the weight of what He has done for you on the cross? It is overwhelming………

As we sat here tonight, Jeff, myself, Britt and Shaun (while Lo slept peacefully), we praised God for the Gift of His Son, as we don’t know how we would get through this without Him.

As the new year approaches, and you already know Jesus, be bold about knowing Him. And if you don’t know Jesus, ask Him to take over your life. I promise it will be the best decision you have ever made.
Good night……….

Cheryl & Jeff – I am friend of Bob & Karen Dickey. Karen sent EM telling of
Lauren’s tragic accident. and asking for prayer. God has taught me much about
prayer in these last few years – why, how, when…and that it is not only a
commandment but a priviledge. The mother of a good friend recently lost her
battle w/cancer. In the months before going to be with Jesus, on her CaringBridge, she would ask that we ‘whisper her name God’s ear”. Please tell Lauren that is exactly what I, along with countless others, am doing.
As I read your posts, I am blessed to see the promises of God come to life
in your steadfast, unwavering faith. The words of a favorite song come to mind…’The Anchor Holds” (in spite of the storm)
Faith isn’t faith until it’s all you are holding on to….continue to hold tightly. I pray specificly for relief from her pain so that her
body will continue to heal. Christian Hugs Janice Allen
