An attractive young couple, Jeff and Cheryl Scruggs seemed to have it all: professional success, adorable twin daughters, and a good marriage. But their picture-perfect image concealed a widening chasm between two people unable to connect on an intimate, soul-deep level.
Ten disappointing years of marriage. Seven painful years of divorce. One remarkable, true-life story of a love rescued by God.
After years of frustration, Cheryl’s longing for emotional fulfillment led to an affair and, finally, a divorce that left Jeff utterly devastated and seething with anger. Yet, incredibly, seven years later, Jeff and Cheryl once again stood at the altar, promising to “love, honor, and cherish” one another. A new and vibrant love had risen out of the ashes of this family’s pain.
I Do Again reveals the hidden secrets that slowly destroyed this marriage and the spiritual awakening that opened the way to healing. A riveting account of the power of prayer and redemption, this remarkable book offers renewed hope for even the most troubled marriages–and reveals why the rewards of restoration are well worth the wait.

Jeff & Cheryl,
We are friends of Eric Shirley and just learned of the horrific accident to your daughter Lauren. We cannot begin to grasp the pain you are all dealing with at this time and our hearts are deeply saddened for Lauren and your entire family.
As a committed praying family that trusts and believes in the healing powers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I know the most important thing we can do is to let you know we are and will continue to pray for you all during this time and in the months ahead.
I went online and watched the video and you truly do have a wonderful family and Lauren is blessed to have such supporting and loving and caring parents and sister to be by her side during this time.
We’ll be on our knees for you all.
Blessings, Gene and Beth Alligood and sons
I would like for you to know that I have been in contiues thougth & prayer for your family. I actually work at Parkland in obstetrics. Yesterday early in the morning I walked throught the ER parking garage through the news cameras. Often we have news cameras but not as many as yesterday. My heart was heavy knowing someone was hurt. I logged in to the local news station and read about your daughter in the headline news. I also saw a bit of your testimony related to your marriage, book and reconciliation on the news sation. I would like to share with you that my marriage is going through the same struggles as your marriage has seen. I have never heard of your site or book, and finding your information is an answer to prayers. Its also given me some hope for our family. My heart is drawn towards your family and I will continue to pray continually for your daughters recovery, for the guidance of the physicians and nurses care and both of you. God bless you.
