Hope Matters Marriage Ministries, Inc. exists because Jeff & Cheryl Scruggs have a passionate desire to see marriages changed, made whole, and reconciled to replicate God’s plan for marriage, not society’s.
Through this crucial ministry, their desire is to glorify God and share with others, that although the world holds virtually no hope for marriages and families being restored, they know that “…By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope” Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) and that it is possible for a marriage to be made brand new no matter what stage it is in!
Jeff & Cheryl boldly share their testimony of hope, publicly, through speaking engagements, small group settings, and one on one meetings with couples and individuals. Their goal is to give God the glory for the miracle in their marriage and family, first and foremost, and encourage couples to hang in there and not give up. They are in the process of developing marriage retreat and conferences. They share their testimony because they believe the only ultimate hope for marriage is Jesus Christ.
Jeff & Cheryl meet with couples or individuals to encourage them to seek Jesus as the solid rock foundation of their lives first and then in their marriage, thus giving them the absolute best chance for an abundant marriage. They walk alongside, encourage, pray with and teach others about God’s plan for marriage.
They also offer marriage counseling through The Center for Christian Counseling headquartered in Flower Mound, Texas. Cheryl is the Director of the branch office in Frisco, Texas. She counsels in both the Flower Mound and Frisco offices. Please call 469.635.2200 for available hours and rates.
Hope Matters Marriage Ministries, Inc. main objective is to lead couples and individuals to the Word of God in order to teach them what God’s plan for marriage is thus giving them the best chance to live that out in the daily walk of marriage.
“Sacred Marriage” class. Jeff & Cheryl teach A 14-week Bible study using the book “Sacred Marriage” by Gary Thomas. They train and equip other leaders to teach this as well.

ABOUT JEFF AND CHERYL
Jeff & Cheryl are the founders of Hope Matters Marriage Ministries, Inc. They have lived and experienced a 10 year marriage without Christ, a 7 year divorce and a reconciliation.
They share their story very boldly of the hurt, the pain, the redemption and the restoration, and have a passion to minister to couples in order to deliver the biblical message that divorce is not the answer for a troubled marriage, but Jesus Christ is!
Their desire is to see marriages whole, healed, and abundant just as Christ intended.
The Scruggs' have twin daughters who attend college and reside in suburban Dallas, Texas.
